February 16, 2006Just wanted to let you know that the vet came Monday and x-rayed Hombre's feet. He described the x-rays as "pristine." The vet couldnt believe that he had only raced and stood around a pasture prior to coming to my farm. He was perfect about standing on the x-ray plate and being messed with. I took him over for a lesson last weekend and my trainer LOVED him. It was cold, windy and all the horses were running around their pastures. He could not have cared less. We started teaching him how to go long and low in my lesson... he was getting frustrated but was definitely trying. The next day I got on him and he completely got it, he just packed around. He moves SO well when he's soft and long through his back. He is 17.2 hands of heart. I can't wait to see what the future brings for us! Hope you and all the horses are doing well!!! January 30, 2006Hey Elizabeth! Hombre is doing GREAT... he's so smart and he has a fantastic work ethic. He's learning to bend and move off my leg, his leads are written in stone. Ashley
December 12, 2005Elizabeth, He just keeps getting better. He and Slewpy absolutely adore each other. Yesterday I lunged him and he was so good I couldn't help but get on him. He's very weak so we just did a little walk/trot work but he's absolutely perfect. He naturally carries himself great and he's so quiet that I rode him out in the woods behind our property today. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about him! They just don't come any better than this!!! I love him! I hope that you are doing well! I hope that these pictures work... I took them off my mom's snapfish account. Talk to you soon and THANK YOU again! Ashley
