Mia Justice - Horse for Sale in Little
Rock, AR

July 10, 2007
Mark and I found out that we will be moving to Yokota Air Base
in Tokyo, Japan this December. While I am excited (and a bit nervous)
about the move, I am saddened because I will have to sell my horses.
Justice has been a joy to own and it has been very rewarding watching
him enjoy life these past six months. I haven't been able to ride
as much as I would like. Mark has been deployed to Iraq and sometimes
I feel as though I am barely keeping my head above water. Justice
has been my "therapy" to say the least.
He has been doing
well on his basic dressage work, walk/trot/canter transitions,
leg yielding, turn on the forehand, simple changes. We go on
trail rides and he is very calm. I canter him in open fields and
along country roads and he is always a perfect gentleman. He has
been doing fantastic lounging over cavaletti, x-rails and barrels
and he began jumping under saddle this week and seems to enjoy
it. He is so calm, I let my six year old cool him out for me. He
has been a great horse, my only regret is that I haven't been able
to do more with him. So I must find a new home for Justice. Please
put the word out and maybe together we can find him a new owner.

Elizabeth,
"Justice" as he is now called, is doing fine. He is starting to get
fat from all the grass the warm weather has brought. He is a very smart horse
and has been a joy to work with.
Our very first dressage lesson he was doing
turn on the forehand. He is always very tuned into me and makes every effort
to do what I ask. My only issue is that I don't get to ride enough. Because
of my three very young children I am lucky to be able to ride 3-4
days a week. Other than that, everything is swell.
I have several
pictures of he and I but due to some computer issues I haven't
been able to get them on here (my husband installed the new Windows
Vista and changed some things and since I am not very computer
savvy I haven't figured out how to download and move pictures
:)
I'll send some pics soon. take care!

Elizabeth,
Mia is settling into his new life here in Arkansas. The weather was horrible last week so he stayed in his stall and paddock. We turned him out a few days ago and he is loving life. While I am anxious to begin working with him, I feel that he needs a few weeks of much deserved rest and relaxation.
Mia is always happy to see me and comes when I call him. I like to think that it's because he likes me so much but it's probably because I always have a few carrots on hand :) My five year old daughter thinks he is the coolest. Mia seems to think she is pretty cool too. It's amazing and truly beautiful the sensitivity these animals have towards children. When Faith (my five year old) is standing near him, Mia will lower his head so she can pet him. My husband, who is a horseman through marriage, even gets a smile on his face when we visit Mia. It is clear that Mia is winning the hearts of this family.
I will send some photos of all of us as soon as I am able. Thank you again for all your hard work.
Sincerely,
Hillary Andrews

Elizabeth,
Mia arrived a little after midnight last night. He was exhausted after the 12 hour trailer ride and was very happy to relax and stretch in his new stall.
He is GORGEOUS and I am totally smitten by him. I did not sleep a wink last night as I could not wait for the sun to come up so I could visit with him.
He didn't drink much water overnight so I am on the lookout for any signs of distress. He refused the peppermint treats I bought for him but devoured a couple of carrots that I just happened to have in my coat pocket :) He seems like a neat guy and I am looking forward to getting to know him better.
Thanks again for all the work on your end. I will keep you updated on Mia's progress.
Sincerely,
Hillary Andrews
"Mia" is a gorgeous seven year old, dark bay gelding. He is almost 16 hands. He is very gentle and easy to handle.
This was his information when he was a Prospect Horse for Sale
Congratulations Hillary Andrews of Little Rock, AR
"Mia" is a gorgeous seven year old, dark bay gelding. He is almost 16 hands. He will be raced one more time and then he will be available for sale. He has run 46 races and won many times. He is at the end of his long racing career. "Mia" is very laid back and quiet. He is good natured and has good legs and ankles with great feet. The owner/trainer's seven year old daughter can go into the stall and groom him. He stood quietly for us to take photos even though jet planes were taking off less than 200 feet over his head. Remained calm and quiet the whole time. Because of his long race record we feel that a dressage or lower level jumping career who best suit this beautiful horse. SOLD!
