Mi Chabela – SOLD!

Mi Chabela - 20120401_002

UPDATE: Mi Chabela has been SOLD! Congratulations to Joanna Zschau on the purchase of her second Bits & Bytes Farm Thoroughbred. “Bella” will be joining Rule My Heart in Toney, AL.

Mi Chabela aka “Bella” is a 2009, 16+ hand Thoroughbred filly with a ton of growing left to do. She could finish out close to 16’3. She almost looks like a yearling with her long legs and slim body. She has put on a 100 lbs since her owner/trainer got her in February. She has still has lots of filling out to do.

“Bella” is super sweet and kind and loveable. Her trainer says, “She has come out of her shell since moving to my barn and will nicker at you to come pet her.” She has only raced four times and she is not mature enough to be a race horse.”Bella” needs another year to grow and develop but her owner would rather see her shine as a sport horse. She was mistreated in her previous stable and is now very trusting of everyone except the blacksmith. You just have to be very patient with her when shoeing so she doesn’t get scared.

“Bella” has no vices and is up to date on everything. She is clean legged and has great feet. She has learned to eat carrots, apples and peppermints. This is an athletic filly who is very light on her feet and would make a great 3-day event horse or dressage horse. She is very fluid and comfortable to ride with tons of ability. She is just not competitive enough to keep running and deserves to be a show horse in a good home.

This filly is well bred. She is a grand daughter of Gone West and Ferdinand. Ferdinand was a Kentucky Derby winner and Horse of the Year. He was sold to Japan to stud but was later sent to slaughter. Mi Chabela is his legacy. She deserves a chance to be a star . . . in the sport horse world.
