Rap It Up – SOLD!

UPDATE June 2013: Rap It Up is now seven years old. He is a 16.1 HH bay Thoroughbred gelding who raced lightly and retired sound. Rap has adjusted well to life away from the track. He has been very easy to transition and has a very laid back attitude. He has foxhunted 2 seasons and is steady to all the sights and sounds associated with a pack of hounds. He is going well over 2’6” and 3’ jumps, but is a bit rusty after having the winter off. Rap would make a great field hunter, and with his current experience would be ready to go next season. He is a very intelligent and handsome horse, he has a muscular build and a very nice neck and shoulder. I really hate to sell him, but I just do not have a good fit for him in my barn, and so I would like to see him go to a good home where he will be ridden and enjoyed. He would excel as a lesson horse, field hunter or eventer, or just a family horse for trail riding, etc. He is a light cribber that is easily controlled with a strap. If you have questions, or would like to see him, please David Goodman at 256-497-6841. Rap It Up is located in Huntsville, AL area. View Rap It Up’s OTTB Success Stories.

UPDATE September 1, 2009: David Goodman of Athens, AL wrapped up Rap It Up to be his next hunt horse. Congratulations David!

Rap It Up aka “Wrap It Up” is a January 30, 2005, 16 hand, bay Thoroughbred gelding. He is clean legged but does have a slightly blemished hock from a pasture accident. He has clean x-rays on it and the x-rays will travel with him. He is a big teddy bear. He has no vices and loves to be petted on. “Wrap” was slow and very laid back on the track and definitely needs a new career. He is built very well with a big hip and shoulder and he should make a great hunter or dressage horse – I think he can go either way. He is the grandson of Gone West and Storm Cat. He was sold as a yearling in the Fasig Tipton Kentucky sale for $145,000! SOLD!  Congratulations to David Goodman of Athens, AL.
