Captain Arias

Captain is an extremely talented and gorgeous horse. He is one of the best horses we have ever retrained. Captain's sire is an Irish bred horse - Aras an Uachtarain. His breeding reads like the who's who of racing and eventing bloodlines. It includes Nijinsky, Northern Dancer Sir Gaylord, Princequillo, Bull Dog, Nearco, Native Dancer and Mahoud.

Captain Arias is in training with Olympic equestrian Imtiaz Anees. He will continue his training with Imti until he is sold. Look for him to be competing in Florida this winter. He is ready to move up to Training Level in eventing and has been schooling at Second Level for dressage. Please contact Elizabeth or Imtiaz Anees for more information on Captain or to schedule a test ride.

Current Training

• Currently competing in combined training at the Novice level ready to move to the Training Level . His last two outings doing Open Novice yielded a 6th and 5th. He finished on his dressage scores and was within a few penalty points of the first place finisher.
• He has scored over a 60% in dressage doing First Level Test Four.
• Captain has free jumped over four feet and cleared the fence by a foot!
• He is quick and bold on x-country fences and cat-like in over stadium fences.
• He is balanced and steady with a consistent pace which makes him suitable for hunters as well as jumpers.
• He is ridden in a snaffle bit for all phases of eventing competitions.
• Olympic competitor and trainer Imtiaz Anees says, "Captain is uncomplicated. The more you ask, the more he gives. He is suitable for hunter or jumpers or eventing."
