Welcome to Bits & Bytes Farm on the Web. Take a virtual tour of the farm and see the beautiful thoroughbreds we have for sale. Follow their training and learn how we bring them from racetrack to a new career in the show ring, fox hunting or eventing.
Christmas at Bits & Bytes Farm
The elves at Bits & Bytes Farm surprised all the horses with their yearly stockings stuffed full with candy canes, raisons, apples, carrots and peppermints - of course!!!!!
Bits & Bytes Farm trainer, Elisa Wallace, will someday be a famous artist and we wanted a photo of her with her gift to us of a metallic representation of a Thoroughbred race horse head. What a thoughtful gift and one we will always treasure.
Marie saved a doberman from the shelter over Christmas. She and Gertjan now have three dobermans that come and play with our two! We don't just give homes to Thoroughbreds but dogs too! We enjoyed the company of a visitor from North Carolina who came to ride Straw Boy during the holidays. He had missed out on Secret and wanted to try his twin.
Shakerag Hounds Novice/Jr. HuntBarry and Marie took Brewster and Era of Chanago to the 2004 Shakerag Hounds Novice/Jr. Hunt on December 28th. The day was crisp and about 65 riders turned out smartly - some for their first hunt. Both Brewster and Chanago have a year of hunting behind them so it was an enjoyable ride for Barry and Marie. Marie has only ridden on a few hunts so having an experienced horse to ride made it a lot more relaxing. She hopes to have her horse Two Thumbs Up ready to hunt next year. The horses get plenty of hound training with all the dogs we have running around the farm! Call or come by for a visit
