One thing for sure - you better have a sense of humor or you will not fit in at Bits & Bytes Farm.

Some Comments from our riders:

Christy, Marc, and I have talked about the clinic for days on end and now we can't seem to stay off the site! I think we should make this an annual event. I loved meeting Niki, Linnea, Hailey, Morgan, Paula and everyone else. You are so right...there was a buzz in the air that day that no one could explain! Christy and I declared on the way home that it was the best weekend that we have had in years! We are still buzzing and are not sure when we will come down.

But in all honesty, the energy was positive because EVERYONE that attended this clinic truly loves their horses. The day was not about ribbons, it was not a competition, but rather a gathering of people who have one thing in common...Thank you for being the match maker that you are! The compliments flowed between all who attended because we all knew where our horses had came from....some from the fields almost starved to death, and some from the track. During the clinic all we noticed was each other and the progress that each individual had made with their horses. Now that's some positive energy!

I can't begin to tell you what a great time we all had yesterday at the Imtiaz Anees clinic. I have long avoided the "horse" scene other than foxhunting because I always assumed that too many people had the elite snobby attitude that so often goes along with the species!

Boy,was I wrong.

What a great group. We even blew off hunting the next day so we could ride in the ring.

Hi Elizabeth

The new pics are amazing!! I can't believe how well they turned out! Knight looks like a million bucks!

You guys put Audible in Joe Bear's stall? How funny! I bet Paula got a kick out of seeing the pic of her and Aud up on the site :)

I just wanted to let you and Barry know how happy I am to be a part of the wonderful work you're doing at B&B. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of Knight, or the other friends (human and equine) I've made without a smile crossing my face. This is a dream opportunity for me - and I'm just so lucky to have found the "right" place to learn so much and live that dream!

Sincerely,
Tammy (Knight ridder)

Dressage and Jumping Clinic with Imtiaz Anees - October 7, 2006 at Bits & Bytes Farm

Saturday morning, October 7, 2006 was just about the most gorgeous day you can imagine for a dressage and jumping clinic at the farm. Elizabeth put out an e-mail to buyers, boarders and "Friends" that there would be a clinic at the farm with Olympic Equestrian - Imtiaz Anees. Very quickly most of the time slots were filled with the many current and former Bits & Bytes Farm Horses for Sale or former Prospect Horses for Sale. With just a few openings left the clinic was announced on the Bits & Bytes Farm Web site and the last few slots were filled within hours! Imtiaz Anees is a popular trainer and the buyers of our horses are always looking for ways to improve their riding and their horses' skills.

So who attended?

Fame for a Day was a horse we sold from the farm back in April 2003. His mom Gloria Coleman was so pleased with her purchase that she recommended Bits & Bytes Farm to her friend Christy Tucker who was looking for a good horse on a limited budget.

Christy found Steffie's Hope on our Prospect Horses for Sale page back in January 2005. Both horses came from North Carolina for our clinic, with their moms and their trailer "driver" Marc Coleman. They were our house guests for the weekend along with Linnea Boyce who drove up from Florida with three horses and a living quarters trailer.

Unfortunately, these were not the horses that Linnea brought but she brought three beautiful and colorful Thoroughbreds from her Fox Haven Farm that are for sale: Western County, Ollie and Sterling Silver (SOLD on Sunday!)

Four horses that were sold in Georgia also attended the clinic. Irish Morning Mist (owned by Megan Brown) and So Romeo did not have to travel as they board at Bits & Bytes Farm. So Romeo's mom, Niki Rawls was busy helping us get ready for the clinic the previous week.

Even a former boarder came back to enjoy the fun! Jeff Perkins was the second boarder we ever had at Bits & Bytes Farm. We later enjoyed fox hunting with him. It was great to see him again with his new horse, a big paint named George.
