As you may have noticed, Bits & Bytes Farm is very selective about the Thoroughbred horses we place. We carefully screen the horses and in many cases, we know the breeder, owner, or trainer personally. We like to be able to share as much history as possible on any horse we list. If we can do this, then you can determine for yourself if this might be a match.
We are able to give you the backstory on the horse when you call us. Sometimes you think it might be a match, but after talking with us, you decide to choose a different horse.
King T’Challa is a new gelding that we have for sale. He has been, what is known in the real estate world, a pocket listing. Many times we have horses that we know are going to be available soon, or we have not had the time to get up on the website, so we share the information with potential buyers who call us. I shared King T’Challa’s information with someone who called about another horse. I thought it might be a match, but T’Challa’s trainer said that he wanted a more intensive job than he would get with that buyer.
King T’Challa is a character! That is an understatement. He lives up to the names of the horses in his pedigree. His sire was Lotsa Mischief who is by Into Mischief out of Saucy Countess. Thank goodness he has Peace Rules, and Hold Your Peace in his family or god only knows how much more personality he would have!
Becky his trainer, loves, loves, loves this horse and his breeder is someone we have sold horses for over 20 years. Becky says, “Making the decision to sell this horse has been very hard, even though he was not the most successful racehorse. He has touched a lot of hearts along the way and everyone knows who he is. He will dress himself with his own crown of hay as you can see in the pictures and videos.
