Thoroughbreds at Our Farm

Stormin In Style is for sale at Bits & Bytes FarmWe take horses from the track because we enjoy working with them. It is our fun to ride and train these beautiful animals.

The horses at Bits & Bytes Farm are ALL for sale - to the right match. We did not bring these horses in to flip them quickly to any buyer with money. Please do not insult us by asking why a horse has been at the farm so long . . . because you will be asking about one of our favorites! We don't HAVE to sell any of them. We take great pleasure placing them with the right match and watching their Success Stories.

If you can't buy a horse without sitting on him, then purchasing a horse that is here at our farm is your best option. These horses have various levels of training and will only be sold if we think that you are a good match for what the horse likes to do and you can give him a good home. We will not sell a horse if we think that the horse is too green for your ability or he does not want to do your discipline. Please do not be offended when we ask you about your goals and desires in your future horse. We can help match you with a horse if you will be open and honest with us about your needs and limitations.

If you are on limited budget, check out our Thoroughbred Prospects at the Track. They are usually priced under $5000 and with the average price being about $3500. Do you have an even tighter budget? Look at our Bargain Barn horses.

So Romeo

So Romeo is a 2002, 16 hand, dark bay (almost black) Thoroughbred gelding. He is by Peaks and Valleys who was the Canadian Champion three year old colt and Horse of the Year in 1995. So Romeo was starving in the pasture when we found him again after he left the track. He is fat and happy now but looking for a new partner to take him to the show ring.
