“Rocky” is a 2008, 16.2 hand, grey Thoroughbred Gelding For Sale

“Rocky” is a 2008, 16.2 hand, grey Thoroughbred gelding who is a war horse. He has raced 105 times and he is still sound! He is super cool, super sweet and super beautiful. This horse is a fan favorite and is ready for a new career. I say career, because he loves attention, loves to train and loves to please people. He is not ready to retire to an easy life. He would make an awesome show horse in any discipline. If he made it this long in racing without injuries, he should be sound for any career.

We often have people asking why a horse has the chain across his nose. At the track, many horses are very “up” because they only get out to train. The standard operating procedure is to put the chain across the nose so the horse does not get loose. It does not matter if the horse needs it or not…you cannot afford to take a chance on the horse getting away. That is also why it is hard to get trot videos at the track. That said, our beautiful, kind, sweet, gray gelding “Rocky” does not need a chain and he GROUND TIES at the track and quietly trots out with just a lead through his halter. Visit “Rocky’s” Prospect Horse For Sale page and see video and lots more photos. “Rocky” is a Prospect Horse For Sale Directly from the Racetrack.

UPDATE November 2015: We brought Rocky Bear to Bits & Bytes Farm.
