There's lots of great information to be found on the Internet if you have an off-the-track Thoroughbred. I am going to start writing a series on how to dig out information on your Thoroughbred using the digital tools available for free. This is the first in the new series. We will outline step-by-step how and where to dig out the info on your ex-racehorse.

Here is a little information about Rocky Bear who is a favorite at Bits & Bytes Farm.

Rocky Bear's dam, Mama Bear, sold for $160,000 at the Keeneland November 2007 sale. She was in foal to Rockport Harbor. Rocky Bear was the foal she was carrying.

Rocky Bear sold for just $17K at the Keeneland April 2010 sale as a two-year-old.

Rocky Bear has two siblings and between Mama Bear's three babies they only earned about half what was paid for Mama Bear, $88,792. Rocky Bear earned $82,862.
