Gin For Lonnie – SOLD!

“Ginny” is a 16’1 1/2 hh 3 yr old (March 2012) filly. This gentle giant has warmblood structure and has been brought along slowly by her breeder/owner/trainer. She has never had a injury and is very clean legged. She is bred to go a long distance and but she is very slow on the track. Her owner knows her speed will not improve and wants to find an awesome show home for her.

“Ginny” is very well behaved, loves to have her head and ears rubbed. She loads on a trailer and travels quietly and she is great with the blacksmith. She is up-to-date on her shots etc. She loves peppermints and is coming from a very loving (not spoiled) home where their racehorses are treated with the utmost respect while remaining very disciplined and kind. She is turned out on a regular basis on her owners farm so farm life and transitioning should be very easy for her.

This is a special girl looking for a special home. She would make a A circuit hunter for sure or could go in any direction. All it takes is slow and patient training since she is just a baby. “Ginny” is the whole package for the right person. Who knows how big she will be when she is done growing. She still has a ton of growing left to do. Thoroughbreds grow till they are six or sometimes later. The mares are always bigger in the barrel and stronger built than the geldings. “Ginny” is going to turn heads when she finishes growing and fills out.

Her owner definitely wants someone to take her talents further in the show ring instead of ending up in the bottom level on the track. Horses like “Ginny” are the horses we love to sell because they come from one owner homes and usually have the best personalities. The way a Thoroughbred has been raised and handled makes all the difference in the world! SOLD!

UPDATE AUGUST 18, 2015: Gin For Lonnie has been SOLD! Congratulations to Courtney Elam of Arizona on the purchase of this beautiful filly.

If you see a horse you like:

Don’t wait to see if he is there tomorrow.
Don’t wonder how much he is – CALL!
Don’t wait to see what your friends say – CALL!

We are not going to talk you into buying a horse! More likely we will ask you to tell us about yourself and your goals. Then, we will help you find the right match or tell you to wait for other horses because none of the current horses are a match.

Prices change based on what price the owner has set. We add a small markup for our services. Prices can go up or down based on how the horse is racing or how quickly the owner wants the horse sold. Most Prospect horses are priced under $5000 with the average being around $3500. Big sound geldings, grey horses and tall horses usually cost more — but not always. Small mares are your best bet if you are price sensitive.

Please read our Pricing Information and Buying a Track Prospect Horse pages before calling. There are several more pages under the Buying Our Horses button at the top of this page. Prospect Horses at the Track will only be sold to buyers with the skills and support to make it a successful transition.

We DO NOT SELL HORSES FOR RACING!

We can’t help you if you don’t call. Adults only please. Minors should have a parent or trainer call for them.
