"Irish" - Grey Thoroughbred Horse for sale

Nearly Irish aka “Irish” – SOLD!

"Irish" - Grey Thoroughbred Horse for sale

“Irish” is a March 2010, 16 hand and a half an inch tall grey Thoroughbred gelding for sale from his breeder. He has recently retired from a racing career of just 14 starts. He is clean legged and vice free. He has a wonderful personality. We have sold three of his siblings and they are all very sweet and sensible. Irish is a very nice mover and we have a slow motion video that displays his wonderful trot. He carries himself naturally and would make a fantastic 3-day eventer or an “A” show hunter/jumper. He is suitable for all disciplines. Irish has a gentle and kind disposition.

“Irish” is located at his breeder’s farm in Lexington, KY. For those on our mailing list that are looking for a horse that has upper level potential, don’t wait to call. We would really like “Irish” to go to someone who can give him the training that will allow him to an ambassador for off-the-track Thoroughbreds. His breeder will require you to keep her updated with photos and training reports. She loves her horses and we don’t let her horses go to just anyone.

UPDATE April 27, 2015: Congratulations to Ann Archibald of Hampton, CT on the purchase of Nearly Irish!

We are not going to talk you into buying a horse! More likely we will ask you to tell us about yourself and your goals. Then, we will help you find the right match or tell you to wait for other horses because none of the current horses are a match.

Prices change based on what price the owner has set. We add a small markup for our services. Prices can go up or down based on how the horse is racing or how quickly the owner wants the horse sold. Most Prospect horses are priced under $5000 with the average being around $3500. Big sound geldings, grey horses and tall horses usually cost more — but not always. Small mares are your best bet if you are price sensitive.

Please read our Pricing Information and Buying a Track Prospect Horse pages before calling. There are several more pages under the Buying Our Horses button at the top of this page. Prospect Horses at the Track will only be sold to buyers with the skills and support to make it a successful transition.

We can’t help you if you don’t call. Adults only please. Minors should have a parent or trainer call for them.
