Young Joe – SOLD!

Joe - Big Stout Dappled Grey Horse For Sale
Young Joe is a 2005, 16 hand, stout gelding. His owner is wanting to reinvest his money into a younger horse and has decided to retire Joe – sound and fit for his new career. He is vice free and appears to be sound for any career.

“Joe” has had a long profitable race career is and is now ready to move on to the show ring. Joe started his racing career at Santa Anita where he won his first race. He has raced all over the country in many stakes races from Santa Anita, Del Mar and Hollywood Park in California, to Arlington Park in Illinois and Churchill Downs in Kentucky. He even raced at Woodbine in Canada. Joe is a real class horse and deserves to have a chance to win again in the show ring. Joe is believed sound enough for a second career without limitations.

Joe’s legs are clean all but for a odd blemish on his left hind-it is an old scar that just stays the same with a scab on it. It does not bother him it is just slightly unsightly. He is a fun horse to ride still has a bit of spunk left in him but not mean. My contacts have watched this horse for three years now and he is a very nice mover with a huge stride. Joe is flashy and big boned and should have no problem with a career off the track.

Joe is getting a lot of attention on our Facebook page. Check out what people are saying about this beautiful big boy. SOLD!

Mary Catherine takes Young Joe for his second ride. He was well behaved and relaxed. He acted as if he had been at the farm for years. Mary Catherine was grinning from ear to ear.

Young Joe - Day Two Ride One

It took almost an hour to find Young Joe under all the mud but Mary Catherine and her husband did just that and saddled him up for his first ride off-the-track.

Young Joe - Day Two - First Turnout

We get the best photos the first time an ex-race horse gets turned out. It is even more fun to watch a grey horse turn bay! Young Joe sure enjoyed himself.
