Mimi’s Ava aka “Mimi” is a 2007, 16.1 hand plus 3/4 inch, dark bay, Thoroughbred mare for sale from her race track trainer. Her exercise ride says she is easy to ride and that she feels great. She can go all morning but when others pass her in the afternoon, she stops running. She has had successful tie forward surgery but she just has no desire to run. She has been scoped and everything is clear. She is believed to be suitable and sound for any career.
She is good turned out with both mares and geldings. She has a good temperament and she is not marish. In the summer she has beautiful dapples all over. One of the vets at the track commented that she is a gorgeous mover.
Her owner does not want to drop her down in class at the track for fear that she will get claimed. She is just not competitive at the level she is racing now and it seems to be that she is just not interested in racing any more. Rather than risk the chance of her being claimed, her owner would love for her to find a new career as a sport horse.
This mare would also make a great warmblood or Quarter Horse broodmare because she has the size and build for it. SOLD!
