He is Risen — and So are these Beautiful Thoroughbreds into Brand-New Lives!

Light shining through the barn doors, at Bits & Byte Farm, on Good Friday form a lighted cross.

This Easter, as we celebrate the miracle of Jesus Christ’s resurrection — the ultimate story of redemption, hope, and second chances — we at Bits & Bytes Farm in Canton, Georgia, are reminded of the incredible mission the Lord has placed on our hearts.

For over 25 years, we have been living out that same Easter spirit: taking Thoroughbreds straight off the racetrack (OTTB) before they ever see an auction ring, giving them the time, retraining, and love they need to begin again. These horses arrive with their racing careers behind them, but their true purpose is just beginning. They learn to free-jump, explore trails, become trusted partners, and discover the joy of a life filled with kindness instead of pressure.

Just as the empty tomb on Easter morning reminds us that no situation is too far gone for God to redeem, these ex-racehorses are being resurrected into peaceful, purposeful lives surrounded by people who see their worth.

Horses like Hink’s Paladin (aka “Hinky Dinky”), the sweet gray mare “Big Mama,” and “Call Me Ferdie” are living proof: what once looked like the end of the story becomes a beautiful new chapter.
