Five Bits & Bytes Farm off-the-track Thoroughbreds headed to Garland Mountain North Georgia for a trail ride on the most spectacular day. The weather was sunny and unusually cool for a June day in Georgia. All the horses loaded into our two trailers – ready to spend the day with their riders on the trails.
As we tacked up, Lexi realized she had grabbed the wrong saddle. It was the saddle she had taken the stirrups off the previous week! Lexi had the pleasure of riding Political Pull and so she knew how wonderfully quiet his ride was and she rode Pull without stirrups – even at a gallop! Well done Lexi!
What a perfect day to spend with our horses and our friends. We finished with our usual Bits & Bytes picnic and then headed home to ride three more Thoroughbreds. What could make a better ending to a perfect day?
Classic Casey, Stormin in Style, Political Pull, Spot Run and Imatexan had a great gallop on the trails at Garland Mountain. I think they enjoyed it as much as we did.
