New Black Mare For Sale – Great Game

great-game_20110410_50Great Game is now listed on our Prospect Horses for sale page. We did her early release on the Bits & Bytes Farm Facebook Fan page so that followers of us on Facebook could have the first view of her. We now have new photos from our visit last week to her breeders farm in Lexington, KY. A group of us were on our way home from the Equine Affaire in Columbus, OH when we stopped in to visit with our favorite breeder and see the new babies at the farm.

Great Game is a gorgeous black mare and we already had her first foal in training at Bits & Bytes Farm — Running Tall.

Detroit Iron aka “Andy” is at Bits & Bytes Farm

Detroit Iron is now for sale at Bits & Bytes FarmDetroit Iron, our former Prospect Horse for sale, is now at Bits & Bytes Farm. He has been living on his breeder’s farm in Lexington, KY for the winter so he is woolly and thin at the moment. He will shed his coat and turn into a beautiful swan in another week or two. He is out on our green grass pastures with Monarch’s Reign and Popular Five. He settled into life at Bits & Bytes Farm like he had been here all along. Detroit Iron is a very well bred horse and he has an old soul. He is very calm about everything and he likes to snuggle. Call for an appointment to come and see him and take a test ride. Training Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds – Week Two

We love our ThoroughbredsWe are into week two for the training of former race horses Spot Run and Imatexan. This week they both did trail rides and cantered with their moms. It is pretty amazing that these Thoroughbreds come along so quickly with their training.

Follow along with Spot Run’s Training Diary written by his teenage owner Katelyn. Learn what it is like to retrain an ex-race horse through the eyes and thoughts of a young rider. We have video of their first canter and first trail ride on our BitsandBytesFarm YouTube Channel. You will also see video of Imatexan on her first trail ride off-the-farm. She went to Garland Mt. with Classic Casey and With Wings. We had a great time cantering then all through the trails. More photos tomorrow.
