Race Horse to Sport Horse a Family Album

People ask how how we find such nice horses. We have a group of owners, trainers and breeders that we like to place horses for because they do a great job of breeding, raising and training their horses. They care about what happens to their horses. Most of the Thoroughbreds we sell have raced or …

In Unison Farm Hunter Pace

We had a fantastic day riding with nine Bits & Bytes Farm off-the-track Thoroughbreds at the In Unison Farm Hunter Pace. It was a great day even if it was a little windy. Our horses enjoyed the ride as much as we riders did. Who could not love galloping across beautiful fields of grass or …

Keeneland!

keeneland_20110603_001We did a quick run up to Keeneland Race Track to check on a few horses we are waiting to become available for sale. Even when there is no racing at Keeneland it has lots of activity because it is a training center for Thoroughbreds. While in Kentucky, we stopped by our favorite breeder’s farm to get more photos of Great Game and pick up some fantastic Kentucky hay for the horses back home. Enjoy our story and photos . . .

Wings and a Prayer

baroness_20100824_002Bits & Bytes Farm’s Head Assistant Trainer (that’s Trainer with a capital T), the Baroness Von River, has written up a new training note. We have placed the page of her latest training notes under the Off-the-Track Tales menu. Last night she assisted with the training of Spot Run and Popular Five aka Bo as they crossed the enchanted brook. Read More . . .

Easter Sunride

Monarch's Reign - a sleep on the saddle It was a beautiful Easter Sunday morning but it was a little too early for Monarch’s Reign to be up for a trail ride. He fell asleep on his saddle as his mom tried to tack him up in the trailer. See the photos of our ride and our Easter/birthday party that we enjoyed when we returned to the farm on our 2011 Outings & Training Photos page under Training Thoroughbreds.

Sunny Sunday Trail Ride With Our Thoroughbreds

Political Pull & Spot RunSunday was such a perfect spring day that we decided to take the Oliver’s new 4 Star trailer on a test run to Garland Mountain in north Georgia with their two Thoroughbreds — Political Pull and Spot Run. We loaded four more Thoroughbreds into the Bits & Bytes Farm’s 4 Star to join in on the fun. So Romeo, With Wings, Monarch’s Reign and our newest off-the-track Thoroughbred, Detroit Iron aka “Andy” all enjoy trail riding. We have a photo gallery showing the beautiful day on our new page 2011 Outings and Training Photos.
