UPDATE: Our beautiful bay mare will soon be on her way to Georgia. She was purchased by a previous buyer, Susan Llewallyn Goodman, DVM . Imatexan will be in training at Bits & Bytes Farm for a little while. Give us a call and stop by and see what a horse right off-the-track looks and acts like. We will post stories of her training with her new mom.

. . . This describes our newest horse. We don’t often sell older horses but when we find one as sweet and well trained as TK’s Turn, we just have to help him find a new career. He has already had a long and successful racing career. That was followed by a career on the track as a pony horse. A pony horses take a lot of abuse as they lead the babies and more difficult horses to and from the track and the races. Read more . . .

We spent a great day today trail riding our Thoroughbreds at the Chickamauga Battlefield with our friends. Today was a perfect fall day just right for a trail ride. There was a nip in the air this morning and the leaves are just starting to change color. It was a kind of day that you will remember in the cold of winter or the heat of the summer. Not too many days are as perfect as today.
We had an interesting group of horses and riders. We took five Thoroughbreds from Bits & Bytes Farm: Pride of the Fox, Monarch’s Reign, Political Pull, Brewster and the wonderful With Wings aka “WWW”. We met up with Bob and Susan Goodman riding their huge warmblood fox hunters. Chase New, our farrier, brought two of his mustangs and his friend Amanda. We had one Western saddle, two bareback riders and five English saddles. Susan decided to ride her hunt horse Henry bareback when challenged by Chase riding bareback on his small mustang. Enough already! Spring is fighting to arrive – a few brave daffodils have blossomed only to be covered in snow. Our newest boarder, Louie the Frisian, arrived from Arizona this week and he learned about playing in the snow.
