Training Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds – Week Two

We love our ThoroughbredsWe are into week two for the training of former race horses Spot Run and Imatexan. This week they both did trail rides and cantered with their moms. It is pretty amazing that these Thoroughbreds come along so quickly with their training.

Follow along with Spot Run’s Training Diary written by his teenage owner Katelyn. Learn what it is like to retrain an ex-race horse through the eyes and thoughts of a young rider. We have video of their first canter and first trail ride on our BitsandBytesFarm YouTube Channel. You will also see video of Imatexan on her first trail ride off-the-farm. She went to Garland Mt. with Classic Casey and With Wings. We had a great time cantering then all through the trails. More photos tomorrow.
